Search similar

In SimpleX there are plenty of search options. But the most exciting is by all means the semantic search feature. It means that, given one specific answer, you can search for the most similar answers available in the survey, based on meaning.

To do so, click on the mini menu of one given answer, click on "Search similar".

As a result, SimpleX will display the top 50 most similar answer, sorted by decreasing order of similarity, starting with the seed answer, colored in green.

If there are duplicates, they will therefore appear on top of the list.

The first answer displayed is the most similar in relative terms, which means that it can have a very different meaning, but stand as the less dissimilar.

50 answers are displayed , regardless of the absolute level of similarity. In effect, it means that the last answers displayed coud be very different from the seed answer.

Similarity match is computed regardless of language. Almost duplicate in a different language will be displayed.

Use cases

This feature can prove handy in different use cases, especially when:

- you are looking for perfect/almost duplicates

- you are looking for similar answers in order to start building a topic

- you are looking for highlight the different keywords used to stress a given idea

- you are checking on a low originality score
