Introducing InsightBot

InsightBot is a powerful new feature introduced in Simple X Open.

With InsightBot, users can effortlessly extract valuable insights from their text corpus by simply asking natural language commands. It empowers users to gain deeper understanding and uncover hidden patterns, enabling them to make informed decisions based on data-driven insights.

In order to use InsightBot , just click on the Bot icon. It will switch the left sided bar in to a chat session.

Using simple commands prefixed with "/", InsightBot offers a range of functionalities that apply to the active selection. Let's explore the available commands:

• /summarize: Obtain a concise 100-word summary of the selected text corpus, distilling the key information for quick understanding.
• /discover: Identify up to 10 topics within the text corpus, helping users categorize and organize the content based on recurring themes.
• /improvement: Generate a list of up to 10 areas for improvement, derived from the analysis of the text corpus. These insights highlight potential areas where enhancements can be made.
• /actions: Identify up to 10 actions that can be taken to address the identified areas for improvement. These actionable recommendations empower users to drive positive change.
• /satisfaction: Highlight up to 10 elements of satisfaction found within the text corpus, providing valuable insights into what aspects are working well.
• /dissatisfaction: Identify up to 10 issues or elements of dissatisfaction, allowing users to focus on areas that need attention and improvement.

It's important to note that while InsightBot provides valuable insights, the responses may not be exhaustive. To further enhance the analysis and better quantify and rank different elements, users can leverage the console and other features such as filtering or clustering answers into topics.

The Insights Tab is a powerful component ofInsightBot. Designed to enhance the user's analytical workflow, The Insight Tab allows for the seamless capture, organization, and refinement of valuable insights extracted by InsightBot.

With InsightBot providing a wealth of actionable insights, users can now choose to save these insights for future reference or discard them as needed. By simply clicking on "Clip Insight," users can effortlessly store selected insights within the dedicated InsightTab.

The InsightTab serves as a centralized repository where users can not only store but also edit and complement the saved insights with additional text. It acts as a dynamic workspace, empowering users to gradually piece together relevant insights and create comprehensive analysis reports in a structured manner.

It is important to understand that not all commands in InsightBot apply universally to every text corpus. Each command is designed to extract specific types of insights, and their effectiveness depends on the nature and context of the analyzed data.

For instance, if the text corpus comprises a list of problems mentioned by respondents, using the "/satisfaction" command may not yield satisfactory results. This command is more suitable for identifying elements of satisfaction within a corpus that explicitly mention positive and negative aspects of the same experience.

Furthermore, InsightBot operates independently of the initial open question. It analyzes the provided text without awareness of the question or context in which it was asked. This can sometimes lead to ambiguous interpretations. For example, if a respondent answers the implicit question "What do you like to eat?" with "Beans," InsightBot is unable to determine whether it should be categorized as a satisfaction or dissatisfaction element without additional context.

These examples highlight potential situations where InsightBot's responses may not align perfectly with the intended analysis. It is important for users to be aware of these limitations and approach the tool with a nuanced understanding.
